about
This song was recorded live at the venue it was written for....A real pub, real people with real lives, hopes and a sense of the real world.
A community of different characters coming together and having a laugh, debates or rows, but always colourful and a joy to be there, as a band ..or just us for a beer or few.
Sadly some friends are no longer with us, so this is for them and the community they leave behind.
( Thank you Ric for the sax and recording )
lyrics
Have you seen the people there, laughing with intent to breathe the air.
Living life like life itself, always ever giving for someone else.
Friendships formed from way back when that last weeks larger turned to Gin.
You can't believe and you don't know how but your saying your goodbyes now.
Have you heard the old boy say " Never have I seen this place this way. People come and people go, going never means they're coming back you know.
All my friends are dying days of laughter and joy, of debates and games, but I'm still here and I'm going strong content to breathe the air ".
Had you heard the old boy went down, last orders called by some kids kicking round.
Apparently some of the last words he said was " My larger has turned to Gin..I see my friends coming in.....
I can touch her face again ".....
